Democracy: Pick Your Own Shows

Is this election year bringing you down? Are you fed up with politics and government? Forget your woes with policies because The Brick is doing a social experiment and it's all about democracy.

According to The Brick, from February 9-July 1, 2012 they will be hosting a voting platform where YOU will get to vote on which shows will be participating in their annual Summer Theme Festival Series.

In an election year, it is important for all U.S. citizens to do their patriotic duty. For that reason, The Brick is extending its annual Summer Theme Festival Series with Democracy, an experiment in civic curation that asks audiences to vote for the shows that will participate in our traditional June festival. From there, they will compete with each other during a runoff election cycle in June to determine the title of President of The Brick.

And with fewer big-name venues than her glamorous sister borough, the BK's events are selling out quickly. Here are some quick hits to get you caught up.
