On Saturday, February 15th, Alex and Drew, aka The Chainsmokers stopped by Webster Hall to headline its weekly Brite Nites event. The duo are currently on their #SELFIE tour and the jam packed crowd was more than ready for them. Gigantic sized posters of Alex and Drew's faces and some various creative posters were spotted floating around the crowd. We had the chance to briefly meet Alex and Drew before they went on stage and needless to say, these guys were a class act towards anyone who came up to them.
As soon as The Chainsmokers took over the stage, there was no denying the booming and pumping basslines filling the speakers. Their presence has been bestowed to the crowd and the reaction from the crowd was insane. They played roughly a two-and-a-half hour set packed with the hottest club tunes mixed with deep house sounds. Of course they played their hit track, '#SELFIE,' which instaneously had the crowd roaring and dancing along to it. Lots of underground sounds were being played, but it was certainly a refreshing sound compared to DJs who only play big room favorites.
The Chainsmokers killed it! Vibing greatly to the New York crowd; we can't wait to see what these New York natives have in store for us next.

What's in a #SELFIE? A selfie requires an individual to turn their camera phones inward so that an upclose and personal photo of one's face is captured. New York natives, Alex and Drew, make up the duo known as, The Chainsmokers, and they're coming at you in a massive way with a new banger.
Appropriately titled, '#SELFIE,' their first ever original track was released with Dim Mak Records. Now these guys are taking what began as a joke into a concept that has swept our nation, selfies and EDM. The official music video for this track is a combination of fan-submitted #Selfies and shoots done with models. They also feature celebrity selfies in their compilation, as well, including ones of David Hasselhof, NERVO and Snoop Dogg.
The concept of this music video is hilarious and relevant to what our social-media-driven generation exudes today, so make sure to watch their catchy new single below!
The Chainsmokers are a NYC-based DJ/producer duo that has proven their uncanny talents through both their original works and interesting remixes of other highly popular tracks. They have worked with an impressive list of prominent artist such as David Guetta, Jay-Z, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Rihanna, and many other well-known musicians that are a staple with the music industry today. Under the label 4 A.M., the duo has been able to take their talents behind the DJ booth and producing software and cross the boundaries of EDM, hip-hop, and rock to cater to the taste of a mass market while still keeping originality and quality tunes.
This past Friday, Timeflies took over Terminal 5 in NYC. They played to a packed crowd of screaming fans and proved they are players to watch out for in the music world. The stage presence between Cal and Rez was filled with charisma as they connected with their fans from the stage. Accompanying that charisma, was an immense amount of energy showcasing their versatile approach to each song they performed. The guys were pumped being in their respective hometown and it showed. They played a mix of well-known songs (with a Timeflies twist, of course!) as well as their own productions.
The duo is currently on their first headling tour, 'The One Night Tour,' which goes through November hitting 35 cities. We were able to catch up with them to see what their production routines are, how social media has helped them and what type of music they plan on making in the future.

New York natives, The Chainsmokers, and Mark Zarrella will get behind the decks for a night of music that’ll put listeners in an empire state of mind.
The Chainsmokers are an electro-duo, made up of Alex Pall and Rhett Bixler, who have been spinning at clubs around the country since 2009. Despite an allegiance to nightclub house music, the duo creates dynamic sets peppering hip hop, funk, disco and soul into their mixes.
Mark Zarrella has a bassier sound. His heavy drops and sexy vocals light up dance floors every week. After his infectiously visceral set at Santos on New Year's Eve, it’s no wonder he’s been invited back for this tribute to New York DJs.
