He's back and returning to his home that started it all. Tim Mason's first musical endeavor in 2013 comes in the form of the long awaited release of "Swoon" returning to the Size Records label which already received a spot for play on Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 Show.
Although still a newcomer, the Brighton, UK based DJ and producer had a huge 2011 with hits like "The Moment" and its follow up track "Anima." With "Swoon," Tim did just what he does best and it's a track that could potentially set Tim to propel high on the EDM radar this year. It's covered with elevating melodies, driving beats and high-energy builds. It's without a doubt set to be a third consecutive success for Tim.
Listen to "Swoon" below and make sure to pick it up when it hits Beatport on Feb. 11th!
Tim Mason is a name to go unrecognized. After being signed to Size Records, he has seen an unbelievably successful year. This Saturday, Sept. 29th he will be spinning at Electric Beach, the weekly electronic music series at Santos Party House.
How does an artist become well-known? How do they break into a scene that is primarily made up of superstars? Well, in Tim Mason's case, you just have to get those superstars to dig what you're doing! The UK based producer/DJ extraordinaire has certainly hit the ground running this year. With the support of artists like Tiesto, David Guetta and Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia, Mason has taken the EDM world by storm... and with authority.
Signing to Angello's label, Size Records, Mason has released two singles, "Anima" and "The Moment." Both were incredibly well received and can be heard in clubs all over the world, spun by some of the biggest DJ's on this side of anywhere. What Mason lacks in his amount of original tracks (soon to change), he more than makes up for with a slew of stellar remixes, ranging from the likes of Moby's "After," to RHCP's "Otherside."
With considerable new material on the scene, there are many names that stand out in terms of who to be on the lookout for in 2012 - and we’re not just talking about your latest friend who downloaded Serato. While choosing a few from the masses is quite a task, a mix of both newcomer and professional talent should be recognized. Some of these artists have already obtained massive popularity for their work while others are still emerging from the shadows (or basements for that matter). Regardless, it is safe to say that the future seems bright for all, so make sure to give these artists a listen.
