You probably know Ramona Singer from her enthusiastic and quirky demeanor on Real Housewives of New York, but the savvy businesswoman is a lot more than a housewife. The reality star announced the newest addition to her collection of Ramona Wines, called Ramona Red. The wine will be a Sangiovese Merlot Blend and will be produced by Opici Wines. In 2011, the star released Ramona Pinto Grigio to much success and is following up with a much needed darker wine. We know from the current season of RHONY that Ramona is no stranger to wines - she can blindly pick out her delicious vinos from a bunch.
Chris Marchino may work at one of the top Italian kitchens in the country, but until recently Cafe Spiaggia's executive sous chef had never been to Italy. That all changed when he took a weeklong culinary tour of Tuscany with Jens Bauerle and Gourmet Destinations. Since returning, Marchino is hard at work creating new Tuscan-inspired dishes for Cafe Spiaggia's menu. This was the first time Bauerle took a professional chef along with his tour, but it's definitely something he'd do again.
62 Restaurant & Winebar is launching a 3-month-long, 3-Course Prefix menu for $28. Starting September 1st travel Europe in the dishes of Chef/Owner Antonio Bettencourt inspiration without leaving Salem, Massachusetts.
Each month will highlight a different European country with a focus on each of the regions in each country selected. In September travel to Spain and the regions of Barcelona, Madrid, Basque and Sevilla. Our next stop in October is Italy. Fall in amore with the cities of Venice, Lombardy – Milan, Tuscany and Piedmont. In November it is off to France and the places of Bordeaux, Alsace, lle-de-France (Paris) and Burgundy.
