Wolfgang Gartner is not as German as his name might suggest. The California-born House DJ has not only collaborated with Skrillex, DeadMau5, and Tiesto, but has also managed to put out eight Beatport #1 songs. His music has been featured in a number of TV shows and video games, and could also be heard in the 2011 movie, Limitless.
Gartner singed to Ultra Records in 2010, and then Ministry of Sound in the UK a year later. But before that, Gartner was releasing music through his own label, Kindergarten. He achieved A-list rotation on BBC Radio 1, and has played at many festivals since 2010 including Coachella and the World Electronic Music Festival. He was voted #8 on the list of top DJs in 2013.

DVBBS (pronounced “dubs”), a duo from Toronto, have made more certified club bangers than you can imagine. The electro/house collective boasts a unique style and is the brains behind hits such as “TSUNAMI." Their EP, “Initio,” was released a little more than two years ago and continues to inspire up-and-coming artists on the scene.
The two members, brothers Alex and Chris Andre, have dabbled in reggae, dubstep, house, and electronic, and their live sets bring their colorful and creative sound to life. Having performed with the greats, including Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Calvin Harris, and Deadmau5, their capabilities behind the turntables are at an all-time high and not to be passed up.

If you’re looking for something to do this Saturday that involves tattoos and catchy hip-hop, House of Blues Boston has you covered with their Kid Ink show! This tatt-addicted rapper got his start as a producer before deciding to pursue rapping full-time when he was just 22 years old.
After releasing 3 mixtapes under the music label, The Alumni Group, Kid Ink released his first independent album in 2012, which hit #20 on the Billboard 200 in its first week. In 2013, he signed a deal with RCA Records, and later that same year released the first single off his second album, a sexy, mellow track called Show Me, which features Chris Brown.
The Aragon Ballroom is known for hosting artists that bring in something unique, a tradition that will continue this weekend as Excision comes to take over on Friday night. Though his first release wasn’t until 2007, the young Canadian dubstep DJ and producer has actually been spinning since 2004, and is the founder of 2 record labels, Rottun Recordings and Destroid Records.
Excision has collaborated with fellow DJs Bassnecter, Datsik, and Space Laces, to name a few, and his second North American tour with supporting acts Dirtyphonics and ill Gates has just 3 shows left. Armed with a 150,000 watt PK sound system and his famous Executioner light and video program, his noisy songs are loaded with twisted effects and unpredictable bass. Excision’s music will remove you from reality and throw you into something straight-up otherworldly. The show is 18+.
