Modern Indian restaruant, Junoon, is announcing its new Beverage Director, Oliver Dufeu, as well as an exciting addition to their wine program. Junoon has assembled an array of over 300 unique bottles of wine on the restaurant's international wine list and on February 27th at 7pm, the restaurant will hold its first in a series of dinners titled Western Promises. Oliver will lead a tasting of select wines in tandem with chef Vikas Khanna's seasonally inspired four course dinner. He will propose a series of wines for each course and explain the concepts at work in the pairings.
Attention winos: Millbrook Winery will be having its 21st Annual wine-centric event on October 15th! And to step it up a notch, Chef Angelo Sosa (Top Chef, Top Chef All Stars) will be whipping up some to-die-for food. Working alongside Bull & Buddha (Poughkeepsie, NY) restaurant, Chef Sosa will be preparing tasty dishes to pair with some classic Millbrook wines.

The bimonthly dinner series, Tasting Brooklyn Dining Club, is having its Italian Classics with a Modern Reinterpretation tonight at Fornino Park Slope at 7pm. Diners will be welcomed with a housemade blueberry limoncello (who doesn't like limoncello?), accompanied by appetizers. Following this happy hour will be a five course sit-down dinner featuring duck rollatini paired with Insolia 2010 Cusumano, Sicily, among other delicious items. Dinner will be led by co-owners Chris Walsh and Dave Kearns, along with Executive Chef Kurt Eggers, who will be discussing the seasonal approach to modern Italian cuisine.
