For the past three years New York has been host to an entire week’s worth of events centered on the wide world of the internet. Next week, starting June 6th, Internet Week New York would like to invite everyone to their fourth annual event! Whether you’re trying to break into an internet based business, check out what’s in store for the internet’s future, or eat, drink, and dance with the internet crowd, Internet Week has something for you.
Much like any big festival, Internet Week is host to many different corporate events. Since Internet Week New York is so large hardcore technology companies are hobnobbing with popular media and fashion companies that have a lively internet following. While there are seminars, brunches, and events for corporations like Yahoo and AOL, there are also huge celebrity events like a talk with Tyra Banks and a fashion show with Kaboodle. The latest and greatest in gadgets and technology will also be featured throughout the week.
There are entire sections of the event devoted to the ins and outs of social media, both for budding entrepreneurs and the young college student faced with a job market that places so much emphasis on the impressions their employees leave through social media. There are events for Twitter and Facebook lovers. Concerts and cocktail events are also spread throughout the event featuring an array of music and food.
The list of events is still growing, but all of them can be seen on Internet Week New York’s event page here. HQ passes are $25 dollars for the whole week or $15 dollars when buyers tweet about their purchase. The Insider Pass costs $249 but drops down to $149 when purchased through Thrillist Rewards.
Internet Week’s events are hosted at several locations also listed on their Event Page, but their main headquarters is located at:
125. W 18th Street
New York, N.Y. 10011
Internet Week New York takes place June 6th-9th.
