Calling all ghouls and gremlins...Halloween season is here and it's time to celebrate the best way we know how - with drinks! There are plenty of fun and fiendish recipes for you to test out before All Hallow's Eve arrives. And for you New Yorkers, there's a couple of spots serving spooking servings of devilishly delicious concoctions.
Pumkin Patch (Served at 230 Fifth)
1 oz. Hiram Walker Pumpkin Spice
½ oz. coffee liqueur
Hot coffee
Garnish with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spices.

1 oz. Cointreau
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
1 barspoon pumpkin butter
4-5 oz. Pumpkin Ale
Add Cointreau, lemon juice, pumpkin butter and ice to a mixing glass. Shake and fine-strain over ice in a highball glass. Top with beer and garnish with fresh grated nutmeg.
Jack-O-Lantern Punch (served at The Empire Room, The Campbell Apartment, Bookmarks, The Carnegie Club, Madison & Vine, and The World Bar)
1 ½ oz. Sailor Jerry spiced rum
1 oz. Domaine de canton ginger liqueur
1 oz. apple cider
½ oz. cinnamon syrup
¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
1 oz. sparkling wine
Add ingredients directly to a brandy snifter or pilsner glass with ice and stir well. Garnish with an apple slice, a dusting of cinnamon and candied ginger.

2 oz. Skyy Infusions Pineapple
1 ½ oz. orange sherbet, softened
1 oz. pineapple juice
1 oz. milk
1 oz. simple syrup
Combine Skyy Infusions Pineapple and pineapple juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain over fresh ice into a clear Collins glass. Combine softened orange sherbet and ice in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strai n and pour over bar spoon to layer in the rocks glass. Combine simple syrup and milk in cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Layer milk mixture on top of sherbet mixture.
Partida Pumpkin Margarita
2 oz. Partida Reposado Tequila
1 oz. fresh lime juice
Splash of pumpkin puree
Sesame seeds
Lime wedge
Rim cocktail glass with lime juice and sesame seeds. Mix ingredients in a shaker with ice and strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

1 oz. Cognac
½ oz. Grand Marnier
1 ½ oz. orange juice
½ oz. Ginger Ale
Orange wheel and lime twist
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with an orange and lime ‘pumpkin top.’
Cali Midnight
1 ½ oz. Caliche Rum
¾ oz. port wine
½ oz. lemon juice
½ oz. Triple Sec
Cinnamon stick
In a mixing glass, combine all ingredients over ice and stir. Strain into an ice-filled tall coupe. Grate cinnamon on top and garnish with cinnamon stick.

1 750mL bottle of Mount Gay Black
8 oz. Cointreau
8 oz. water
Peel and juice of 8 lemons
Peel of 2 oranges
½ cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
Food-grade dry ice
Add the sugar and citrus peels to a punch bowl, muddle and let sit for 3 hours. Add the rum, Cointreau, water and lemon juice. When ready to serve, place a pound of dry ice in the punch. Garnish with lemon wheel and fresh grated cinnamon. *Note: Dry ice must not be eaten or swallowed. Handle only with insulated glove or tongs.
Bourbon Pumpkin Pie Milkshake (Courtesy of Andrea Correale of Elegant Affairs)
2 cups vanilla ice cream
½ cup milk
¼ cup cream or Half and Half
1 tbs. vanilla extract
2/3 cup pureed pumpkin
½ tbs. pumpkin pie spice
1/3 cup graham cracker crumbs
2-3 oz. bourbon
Frosting and sprinkles
Add all ingredients to a blender and mix until combined. Rim glasses with a light coating of frosting then dip in sprinkles. Pour in shake and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Top with whipped cream if desired.
