Starbucks Raises Prices, Customers Notice

Yes, it's true. Starbucks has raised prices on several of their beverages. You'll now notice a 10 cent hike on many of your favorites including 'Tall' sized lattes and brewed coffees. I couldn't help but notice when they rang up my 'Tall' bold this morning that is was $2.01, instead of the usual $1.91. Most annoying, the change hadn't even been notated on the menu! Sure, 10 cents isn't much, but the price increase happened suddenly, with no formal announcement that we can recall. (Of course, many of us were submerged in pumpkin pie and a turkey coma recently, so it's possible we missed something.) I only found out after my purchase. What trickery!

4 Looks for Keeping it Classy on NYE

For some reason, twice a year, women feel the need to wear as little clothing as possible. Those two occasions are Halloween and New Year's Eve. While many women bask in the glory of feeling justified for being scantily clad, many of us would rather keep a little to the imagination. So, to avoid such disasters, here are 4 looks for 4 different types of parties that are both sexy AND classy. Whether you're headed to the club or out with the family, here are some pointers for keeping all eyes on you for the right reasons.

Video: First Trailer for 'The Hobbit' Released

If you're as big of a nerd as I am (and I'm sure you are) you've been waiting for The Hobbit to be released since the last Lord of the Rings hit theaters a thousand years ago. Actually, 8 years ago, but it feels like a thousand years ago. Well, it's here! After plenty of studio bickering and several finanical setbacks that plagued the film in the early stages, we finally get a glimpse of Bilbo Baggins' adventures to the Lonely Mountain with all our favorite LOTR characters; including Legolas, Gandalf, Frodo, Gollum et al.

Unfortunately for all us, we're going to have to wait another year, as the film will not be released in theaters until December 14, 2012. So, in the meantime, I guess you'll just have to watch the trailer on repeat and play with your action figures.

Kim Jong-il Dropping the Bass

This is pretty much the best thing we've seen all month. Jong-il was the center of many comedic skits, memes and parodies throughout his life, but this posthumous Tumblr is possibly the best of them all. Honoring Jong-il's lifelong dream of being hip and cool, in this blog he becomes the epitomy of cool: a DJ.

DJs, known for their globe-trotting, party rocking, groupie gathering lifestyles have become the new James Bond's of the current era. In this blogosphere masterpiece Jong-il finally makes it. Dropping bass next to DJ "Gods" such as David Guetta, Skrillex, Tiesto and Moby, Kim finally reaches the level of cool he was never able to achieve while he was alive.
