The Dude's Caucasian

2 cups sugar
2 split vanilla beans
6 heaping tablespoons of ground espresso
1 750-ml bottle Kanon Organic Vodka
In a drip coffeemaker, use the amount of water for 2 cups coffee to make an "intense" concentrated brew. In a large container, combine vodka, sugar, vanilla beans, and hot espresso brew. Place used espresso grounds in cheesecloth, add to mixture, and let steep for 24 hours. Once ready to serve, pour the espresso vodka over rocks into a lowball glass. Top with a drizzle of heavy cream and a splash of soda.
Caliche Old Fashioned
2 oz Caliche Rum
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
1/2 oz Sugar Cane Syrup
1 Maraschino Cherry
1 Orange Wedge
Mix sugar cane syrup and angostura bitters in an old-fashioned glass. Drop in a cherry and an orange wedge. Muddle into a paste using a muddler or the back end of a spoon. Pour in the Caliche Rum, fill with ice cubes, and stir for at least 10 seconds or until well chilled. Garnish with a orange twist and a cherry.
