Shark Week is officially back in session...which means it's time to get your snorkels ready, your fins on, and raise your glasses because you can finally party like it's Shark Week again! Check out some of these fintastic 'tails, jawsome bites, and bloody fun parties.
MexiBBQ in Astoria will be offering shark-inspired specials all week long, from Sunday through Thursday. Delicious dishes include Taces de Tiburon (shark tacos, $9) made with grilled shark, fresh avocado, and guajillo orange salsa. You can also try their Great 'Witte' Beer Flight for $9, which includes a range of refreshing summer craft brews. You can enjoy all this while watching Shark Week at the bar.
The Bell House will be bringing in shark researcher Hans Walters of the New York Aquarium to discuss his wet 'n' wild work tagging and tracking our favorite sea creatures on August 16th. There will be a live screening of Great White Highway, a documentary debuting on Shark Week that follows intrepid marine scientists as they pursue the migrations of the Great White. The doors open at 7:30pm for this Secret Science Club event. Sip on cocktail of the night, the Land Shark and have a go at their salty Q&A series for the chance to win sharky prizes!
Tocqueville Restaurant will be getting sharky with their new cocktail, Chinese Storm, comprised of house infused Gosling's Black Seal Rum, Canton ginger liqueur, and grilled oranges ($13).
The Americano is surfing up their Bloody Caipirinha, made of Leblon Cachaca, sugar cane, and fresh blood orange for $16.
Third and Long will be airing Shark Week all week long.
BLT Fish Shack will be tossing out their Shark Bite cocktail for happy hour pricing at $7 all day long from August 12-18th. The 'tail is made of sparkling wine, blood orange, and cassis.
