Chinese New Year at Hakkasan
Celebrate the Year of the Snake with a sumptuous feasting and celebrations

恭喜發財!  February 10th marks the official start of the Chinese New Year, and those celebrating will be greeting each other with the traditional “congratulations and prosperity” (gung hay fat choy).  To mark the beginning of the Year of the Snake, Miami’s go-to restaurant for haute Cantonese cuisine, Hakkasan at the Fontainebleau resort, will be offering dinner specials from February 8th through February 17th with a grand celebration on February 10th featuring the traditional Lion Dance.  The luxurious, family style menu is sure to start the beginning of the Year of the Snake on a truly delicious and decadent note.

The pre-fixe menu ($138 per person, two person minimum) will include such specialties as as spicy brine pork leg with lettuce and avocado salad, a selection of dim sum, as well as a soup of braised abalone, sea cucumber and millet.  Entrees consist of steamed village chicken with green ginger sauce, stir fried lamb and spring bamboo shoot with spicy sauce, sauteed pak choi with garlic, and eight treasure noodles.  Desserts include a choice of either coconut mousse or chocolate fondant.

On February 10th, the Fontainebleau lobby will host the Lion Dance Celebration at 9:00 PM with Hakkasan’s signature Kokohana cocktail consisting of coconut rum pineapple, basil leaves, and lychee juice served up at the lobby’s Bleau Bar.
