Where to dine and drink on St. Patrick's Day

So many green eats, so little time. St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner and with all the green beer in your belly, it's imperative that you soak it up with something equally delicious. Here are some of the best spots in the city to hunker down with Irish bites and get your green on.

The Windsor: Both locations of this upscale sports bar will be offering menu specials that are holiday-appropriate, such as shepherd's pie, pastrami spring rolls, and Guinness chocolate cupcakes with Bailey's butter cream in a jar. The specials, along with the regular a la carte menu will be available, as well as exciting giveaways on March 16th and 17th.

234 West 4th Street, NYC


Bill's Food & Drink: On March 16th, this midtown eatery will be offering delicious food and drink specials just blocks from the parade. Beginning at 11am in the ground-floor tavern, guests can enjoy a variety of $14 sandwiches and top it off with a Shamrock Soft Serve ice cream dessert, made with vanilla and creme de menthe. Not to mention, you can enjoy a pint of Guinness along with a tasting flight of Irish Whiskey's such as Knappogue Castle, Middleton Very Rare, and Bushmills. The main dining room will also be open for lunch.

57 East 54th Street, NYC

Siro's Restaurant: Another midtown favorite is offering a $45 prix fixe menu inspired by traditional Irish cuisine. Enjoy dishes such as smoked haddock soup, traditional Irish stew, spiced corn beef, and butter beer for dessert.

885 Second Avenue, NYC

Sprinkles Cupcakes: The famed cupcakery is offering a delicious new cupcake in celebration of the Irish, available only until March 17th, at their 60th Street location. Their "Irish Chocolate" cupcake features Belgian dark chocolate cake topped with Bailey's Irish Cream cream cheese frosting. Yum!

780 Lexington Avenue, NYC

Pennsylvania 6: The recently opened restaurant is serving patrons a special reuben sandwich with dry aged brisket and truffled Thousand Island dressing on rye bread for the holiday. Awesome drinks special abound here, as well, with $5 Jameson shots and $4 select domestic bottle and draft beers.

132 West 31st Street, NYC

Brother Jimmy's: The famed BBQ joint is serving up green eggs and ham for St. Paddy's Day. That's right, all day on March 16th, you can order scrambled eggs with spinach and scallion puree served on Texas toast with a ham 'steak' and home fries for just $10.95. Additionally, from 10am-12pm all beer and well drinks will be half priced.
