Get Ready to Googa Mooga!
Superfly's "amusement park of food & drinks" returns to Prospect Park.

After a bumpy first run Great Googa Mooga is back for the second installment of the food, drink and music festival. Thought of as an “amusement park” for foodies, guests of the inaugural Mooga were disappointed and frustrated to say the least but event organizer, Superfly (Bonnaroo, Outside Lands), heard the cries of the people and reorganized their event. Instead of just a 2-day event, the 2013 Great Googa Mooga will be three days, May 17th through May 19th at Prospect Park in Brooklyn.

The Second Annual Googa Mooga will include 85 of the city’s best restaurants serving everything from foie gras doughnuts to grilled Maine lobsters as well as designated food pavilions such as the pizza, sweets, and Hamagaddeon pavilions to name a few. Those lucky enough to snag General Admission tickets or purchase VIP tickets will be able to drink over 100+ wines from 30 global winemakers and enjoy 100+ brews from all over the country with a New York State and Brooklyn-based brewery focus. Besides amazing food, there will be music on two stages featuring Matt & Kim, Jovanotti, Father John Misty on the Nethermead Main Stage on Saturday and Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings, De La Soul, and Cults playing on the Nethermead Stage on Sunday, along with many other acts.

Similar to last year, General Admission tickets to the festival are free. DO NOT forget to register (like we did last year) because since the tickets to this awesome event are free they go very, very quickly. Registration for General Admission Tickets begins on April 1st until April 3rd but are only for Saturday and Sunday’s Googa Mooga. The Friday, May 17th, Kickoff Concert tickets are on sale now for $54.50 and features headliners The Flaming Lips, the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, and The Darkness. VIP Cocktail Experience tickets are also on sale $79.50 per day (Saturday and Sunday only) and include access to a main stage viewing area, cocktail bars where mooga-goers can drink five artisanal cocktails exclusive to VIP ticketholders, and a VIP-only entrance lane into the park.
