Chef Antelmo Ambrosio shares three recipes in anticipation for the upcoming celebration

With a little over two weeks until Cinco de Mayo, Chef Antelmo Ambrosio from bustling Battery Park staple SouthWest NY shares three cocktails inspired by his hometown of Oaxaca, Mexico, to get you in the celebratory spirit!

All three hand-crafted concoctions will be served at the restaurant on the actual day of Cinco de Mayo along with a ‘Buffet del Mercado’ boozy feast featuring mojito-marinated skirt steak, margarita chicken breast, Guajillo-garlic shrimp, and much more for $22 per person.

Flora Roja

2 oz. Jamaica (hibiscus)-infused tequila

1 oz. Cointreau

0.5 oz. fresh lime juice

0.5 oz. agave nectar                                                    

2 dashes of chipotle Tabasco

Mix together all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain. Serve straight up or on the rocks 


Paloma

2 oz. Blanco or Reposado tequila

0.5 oz. fresh lime juice

Grapefruit soda

Mix together all ingredients and serve on the rocks with a garnish of grapefruit or lime.

 

 

 


TNT Cooler (Tamarind ‘n Tequila)

2 oz. Blanco or Reposado tequila

1.5 oz. tamarind puree

0.5 oz. simple syrup

Ginger ale

Mix together all ingredients and serve on the rocks with a garnish of lime.
