If you’re a beer aficionado, casual beer drinker, or craft beer connoisseur, don’t miss your chance to attend this year’s Summer Jazz - NYC Craft Beer Festival at Webster Hall on Saturday, July 20. The event is produced by Hand Crafted Tasting Co., and 75 breweries will be in attendance. This festival will exhibit the most innovative trends in the brewing business, as well as the changing palate of the American consumer. Each craft brewery claims to have discovered the greatest beer recipe in the 5000-plus year history of brewing and this Saturday is your chance to put their claim to the test.
New Yorkers will be treated to some of their favorites, like the Lagunitas IPA and their Little Sumpin’ Sumpin Ale. The IPA takes your taste buds for a ride with a strong aroma and a hoppy-sweet finish, while the Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ is a filtered pale wheat ale with a strong hop finish and silky body, perfect for IPA and wheat beer fans. Flying Dog will be bringing along their daring brews as well. If you’re a fan of citrus flavors complemented with caramel malt notes, take a swig of the Snake Dog IPA. Rather a dark? Their Gonzo Imperial Porter is made with roasted chocolate, coffee, and vanilla malt for a unique hoppy flavor.
All of this beer-tasting is sure to make you crave some tasty bites. Try the spicy beer sausage made with the Lagunitas Maximus at Rosamunde Sausage Grill, or their savory cheddar brat stuffed with tangy sharp cheddar cheese. After all, what goes better with beer than juicy brats? If you’re in the mood for some good old home cooking, be sure to check out The Savory Pie Guy for a Brick Cottage, their take on the hearty Shepards Pie. Also making an appearance is Stone Street Tavern who will be serving up pork sliders, jalapeno guacamole and chips, and fried crab cakes with Cajun aioli and cole slaw. These are just a few of the food masters who will be serving up mouthwatering treats to pair with your hand-crafted brews.
This year, the Summer Jazz - NYC Craft Beer Festival is at the phenomenal Webster Hall, a four-story venue located in Manhattan’s East Village. Undoubtedly, Webster is a premiere spot to showcase America’s best beers, and live Jazz music provided by the Blue Note Jazz Club throughout the entire event. Finally, for those who are interested in learning the art and science behind beer culture there will be a host of seminars held by beer experts and pioneers of the brewing business. Delicious craft beer, great food, and Jazz music is an ideal way to spend a summer weekend. There are two sessions, the first from 1pm - 3:30pm, and the second from 6pm - 8:30pm, in three different packages, general admission, VIP, or Connoisseur, so make sure to get your tickets now before they sell out!
