Happy National Daiquiri Day!
Make your own daiquiris

The only way to celebrate National Daiquiri Day is to drink one! A great way to cool down in this July heat is to head on over to your favorite happy hour bar, and order a refreshing daiquiri, or if you're feeling brave, try making your own daiquiri at home by following one of the simple daiquiri recipes below. Don't be shy, show off those mixology skills!


Classic Rum Daiquiri

1 ½ oz light rum

¾ oz lime juice

¼ oz sugar syrup

ice cubes

 

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.





 

Hemingway Daiquiri

1 ½ oz white rum

¾ oz fresh lime juice

¼ oz fresh grapefruit juice

¼ oz maraschino liqueur

Ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and garnish with a lime wedge.

 

 

Grape Daiquiri

1 cup of green, red, or black seedless grapes

4 oz white rum

3 oz sweetened lime juice

3 cups ice cubes

 

Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until slushy. Pour into a tall glass and serve.

 

 

 

 

Banana Daiquiri

1 sliced banana

½ cup coconut milk

1 tablespoon of lime juice

¼ cup sugar

2 oz white rum

3 cups of ice cubes


Combine all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and serve.

 


Mango-Citrus Daiquiri

¾ cup fresh lime juice

½ cup sugar

16 oz frozen mangos

2/3 cup Bacardi Limon

1/3 cup Cointreau

                                                                       4 cups of ice cubes

Combine lime juice and sugar into a bowl, mix until sugar completely dissolves. Take a serving glass and wet the rim with water and dip into sugar. Combine the lime syrup and all the remaining ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into the glass, garnish with lime slice, and serve.



Golden Daiquiri

6 fresh raspberries

1 tablespoon of dark brown sugar

2 oz golden rum

1 tablespoon lime juice

 Ice cubes

 

Mix the raspberries and sugar into a tall glass. Place the remaining ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake. Pour into the glass over the raspberries and sugar mixture with ice cubes and serve.
