Chic City Spots to Delight Your Gourmet Doughnut Fancy
From coconut lime filled to cereal-topped doughnuts...

Doughnut Plant

This trendy spot is notoriously known for its innovative bakery shelves filled with pretty doughnuts. Moist, circular cakes glazed in layers of hot pink, plum purple, and dark green line the shelves, occupying unique names such as Pistachio and Carnival Sprinkles. Doughnut Plant’s doughnuts are supreme in every way – from beautiful presentation to their absolutely delicious taste. The shop has an awesome, wide selection of doughnuts, preparing a doughnut for every preference and personality. It is clear that each doughnut is created with pure love – made fresh daily with all-natural and the highest quality ingredients. When looking over the menu, you have a difficult decision to make. You have to choose your type of doughnut: yeast (fluffy, airy and light), cake (cross between buttery pound cake and birthday cake texture) or filled (doughnut filled with homemade jams, creams and custards). The filled doughnut can be either doughseeds (mini round doughnuts), carrot cake, blackout (chocolate cake doughnut), tres leches, or original square yeast doughnut. To give you a taste of what the Plant’s creative flavors include, here are a few scrumptious options: Coconut Lime (yeast), Peanut Butter & Blackberry Jam (filled), Coconut Cream (filled), Pistachio (cake), Cinnamon Sugar (cake), and Fresh Blueberry (yeast or cake). Doughnut Plant also features a “cake doughnut of the day” each day of the week, such as the divine Chocolate Chip Cookie cake doughnut on Thursday and Sunday. And of course, don’t miss out on the shop’s sugary treats featured for a limited time only: cake and yeast doughnuts featuring a unique sweet glaze made with French Lavender Flower.

Doughnut Plant is located in the Lower East Side at 379 Grand Street, between Essex and Norfolk, and at the Chelsea Hotel – 220 West 23rdStreet, between 7th and 8th Aves.

The Brindle Room – Welcome to Wonder City

Warm, sugary, fresh, and irrevocably fluffy doughnuts that melt in your mouth within the first bite…and their secret? Mashed potatoes! Within the Brindle Room restaurant, there is a sweet paradise where doughnuts are baked to perfection – well, ‘coffee and donut bar’ called Wonder City. The name itself even sounds majestic! According to their Facebook page, Wonder City includes mashed potatoes in the batter to make their delicate doughnuts as delicious as they are. Wonder City strictly serves only mouthwatering doughnuts: powdered sugar that resembles a soft and crisp snowfall, delectably sticky caramel and chocolate hazelnut topped with freshly sliced almonds.

The Brindle Room and Wonder City are located at 277 East 10th Street, NY, NY 10009.
