Fashion Week Restaurant Openings!
These dining debuts are the talk of the town

September may mark the end of summer, but it also signals the beginning of New York’s most fabulous annual event.  As you soak up both the glamorous and the ghastly of Fashion Week, look out for these hot new restaurant openings.  From authentic rolled tacos to miso-maple doughnuts, the options are tantalizing.  So take a break from last season’s food favorites and try these brand spanking new restaurants on for size.

The Park 112

Located in Harlem, this chic new restaurant will serve delectable shareable plates such as sweet and sour Brussel sprouts and Crab Ragoons.  The stand-out selling point of this new Harlem hotspot is its unique wine experience: diners are invited to serve themselves wine from enomatic machines, using a loadable wine card.   Check the website for  updates on the official opening date.

Dough Loco

If you love doughnuts and have an adventurous streak, head to Dough Loco on the East 97th and Park Ave.  If the much-hyped miso-maple doughnut is anything to go by, this wacky sweets spot is the place to go to keep your taste buds on their toes and satisfy your sweet tooth simultaneously.  Funded in part by a Kickstarter campaign, Dough Loco is poised to stand out from the (doughnut) crowd for its unique range of delicious and eccentric flavors.

La Cenita

This trendy new Latin restaurant from the EMM Group is shaping up to be a hot spot for a fun night out, particularly during Fashion Week.  Located in the Meatpacking District, La Cenita features a variety of frozen cocktails, a ceviche bar, and Mexican-inspired shareable plates.

If you’re constantly on the lookout for good Mexican food, consider La Taquitoria to help you get your taquito fix.  This Lower East Side rolled taco spot is likely to be popular with the late-night crowd.  If you want an idea of their offerings, stop by Lucky Jack’s at 129 Orchard Street this Sunday at 1 pm for a Taquito Party/NFL Kickoff celebration.

American Cut

Iron Chef Marc Forgione and premier restaurant group LDV Hospitality have teamed up to launch a New York location of their swanky Atlantic City steakhouse.  Expected to open in Tribeca next week, American Cut sits in the space previously occupied by Trattoria Cinque.

Somtum Der

Somtum Der has had rave reviews at its Bangkok location, and now you can have a taste of delicious Thai-Isan food without splurging on the long flight to Thailand.  Originating from a region in northeastern Thailand, Isan cuisine as presented by this restaurant includes a much-beloved take on fried chicken as well as flavorful soups, salads, and rice dishes.  Head over to the East Village to check this place out during its soft opening.

Red Farm Upper West Side

Already a favorite in the West Village, chic Chinese restaurant Red Farm is slated to open a second location on the Upper West Side.  This Manhattan favorite is popular for its vibrant, trendy atmosphere and its innovative take on traditional Chinese cuisine.

Chef Mark Barrett and the Lusardi group present elegant Italian fare at this new Bleecker St eatery.  The space used to be a record store, and has been transformed to make way for a casual dining experience with homemade pastas and refreshing cocktails.
