Chocolate Wasted!
Take a sneak peek at some of the newest chocolate additions to the Max Brenner menu

Walking into Max Brenner is like dying and going to a chocolate covered heaven. Boxes of chocolate to your right, a chocolate bar complete with knowledgeable chocolate baristas to your left, and warm brown walls covered with chocolate adages. We joined The Door for an exclusive tasting of the newest additions to the Max Brenner menu and celebrated recent renovations to the Union Square location, just in time for the holidays.

We walked to a table spread fit for the chocolate gods. Milk, dark and white chocolate fondues in petite white porcelain, tiny sugar-covered crepes, crunchy chocolate-splattered fried dough, and one of their infamous chocolate pizzas, topped with toasted marshmallows. We sunk our teeth into these decadent treats, and then washed it all down with a few of their new and improved chocoholic drinks.

If you’re in the mood for an old school, rich chocolate shake their 80’s Milkshake is definitely a must try. It’s a blend of rich milk chocolate ganache topped with vanilla ice cream and covered in a crunchy chocolate shell. Their shakes are served in their creatively imagined “Alice Cup” with the words “Drink Me” adorned down the middle. And after a few sips of this drink you’ll definitely be feeling as giddy as Alice when she dropped down into Wonderland.

Their decadent Chocolate Martini is a heavenly blend of rich chocolate and liquor. This sinfully delightful drink is topped with a gorgeous strawberry dipped in milk chocolate and covered in hazelnuts to make it that much more sinful. For a toastier selection, their new apple pie inspired hot chocolate makes an ideal holiday treat. Their already rich hot chocolate with a hint of apple pie makes a perfectly delectable experience for the taste buds. And it’s served in their cute little hug mugs, perfect for keeping your hands warm during a cold winter day.

So if you’re in the mood to splurge your taste buds and fall into a sweets coma, Max Brenner is the place to go. Check out the new additions to their menu, as well as some old favorites, and fall in love with chocolate all over again.
