On Wednesday October 20, the city of Miami will be blackout, and I’m not referring to the kind of blackout that could only mean an awful hangover the next day, despite how hard Southern Floridians love to party. I am referring to one-night-only culinary experience of a lifetime, Lights Out Miami Beach, where you will enjoy gastronomic masterpieces and multi course meals from twelve of Miami’s top restaurants. Five of the twelve restaurants will be in complete darkness for the meal including Indomania, Catch 10, The National, OLA, and Escopazzo, while the other seven, comprised of Gotham Steak, BLT at the Betsy, Red the Steakhouse Joe’s Stone Crab, Smith & Wollensky, Quattro, and 660 at the Angler’s Resort, will be giving each diner a sleep mask as waiters in night vision goggles guide you through your culinary adventure. On this night, you won’t have your sight to rely on, heightening all four other senses and allowing you to experience what only the vision impaired could fathom. So hurry and make your reservations to tantalize those taste buds on a complete blackout adventure.
