Lil’ Wayne hit the stage last night at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise for what was yet another unforgettable performance. Since his release from prison just months ago, the multi-platinum and Grammy award winning artist was quick to get back on top of the rap music scene. With the release of his single, “6 foot 7 foot” and his album, I Am Not a Human Being, the iconic rapper and label owner hit the road for his North American tour, I’m Still Music.
The unstoppable Young Money crew is along for the ride, as well. Nicki Minaj continues to establish herself as one of the top female artists in the music industry by her show shopping performance last night. Also on stage was Drake, Mack Maine, Rick Ross and special guest DJ Khaled. If that line up wasn’t enough to get Young Money groupies out of their seats and losing their voices, Travis Barker and Mixmaster Mike opened up with a DJ/Drummer set. Brett Weithorn, president of Joonbug Miami, was in attendance. “I was very impressed with the entire show. The production was great, and the sound and lighting even better. Lil' Wayne and his Young Money Artists put on one amazing show,” he commented.
The incredible diversity of a line up and the unique talent of each individual is what makes the I’m Still Music tour like no other. Lil’ Wayne, along with the Young Money team, never fail to impress as they almost brought down the roof of the Bank Atlantic Center. The tour left South Florida’s ears ringing and is continuing to tour across the country to bring their fans a concert that they will not want to miss. Lil’ Wayne’s highly anticipated album, Tha Cater IV, is officially set to be released on May 16.
