From August 5 - 13th the historic Bangor waterfront will be littered with music, art, film, food and more to celebrate our generations thriving and vastly-spanning culture. The festival will include over 50 bands and performers, 20 films, and several art installations over the ten days.
Much like Brooklyn's Northside Festival, KahBang is split up into several different showcases through the duration. The 5th - 13th will be all about the art, headlined by the growing KahBang Arts. "KahBang Arts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the discovery, development and support of independent artists. Through its programs, KahBang Arts seeks to inspire artists from the United States and around the world, and to promost their work to audiences worldwide."
Located in the heart of Bangor's historic Downtown, the Kaleidoscope Gallery will be the centerpiece of these installations including sculptures, screen-printing, paintings, photography, and other various mixed media. Not to mention the "Sculpture Park" on the waterfront during the festivals final weekend.
As far as the music is concerned, KahBang has announced the full lineup for Friday, August 12th and Saturday, August 13th along with the addition of headliner Lupe Fiasco on the Friday the 12th. The lineup, taken directly from the KahBang press release is as follows:

Starting up the music will be a special showcase on Saturday, August 6th in Westmarket Square, with serial KahBang headliners, Gay Blades. The Kickoff Concert with begin at 2pm and Gay Blades are presumed to go on around 9pm. And what's even better than music? Is free music. This portion of KahBang is open to the public, so if you're in the area, be sure to stop down.
