Big news has dropped today in the festival circuit: New York’s Governor’s Ball has officially announced its 2012 line up. For those not familiar with the Ball, it’s a two day fest featuring diverse tunes, a myriad of activities, and all the usual shenanigans that accompany any outdoor music festival. Situated on Randall’s Island—stock prison backdrop included—this fest boasts headliners Beck, Modest Mouse, Chromeo, Ducksauce, and Passion Pit (to name a few). Interspersed throughout the two days, the line-up looks fiendishly delicious, with June 23 & 24 shaping up to be quite the weekend.
Perhaps most importantly is that tix officially go on sale tomorrow the 22nd—the time is neigh to jump on the fresh hotness! Tickets come in the standard GA (General Admission) or VIP (for the ballers), with the latter obviously being a bit pricier. Two days passes are the way to go, coming in at $160 for GA, and $300 for VIP. One may naturally be contemplating the perks of such a hefty price-tag, and for $300 you get all of the following: access to VIP lounges and seating, massage services, and exclusive drink specials.
Alternative ticketing options include single day passes ($95 GA, $165 VIP), for those unwilling to fully commit. The choice is ultimately yours, but the reality is that come tomorrow prices are rising and tickets are vanishing—snag that goodness before its gone!
