Ready to get Sirius Hardwell fans? This Thursday 7/19, the young Dutch DJ/producer gave a select group of fans an exclusive live set in the SiriusXM studio in New York City. Before his set, the award-winning spaceman himself (aka Robbert van de Corput) was interviewed by Sirius XM Radio DJ and Producer Liquid Todd.
Hardwell revealed on air all about his tracks “Spaceman” and “Cobra," what it’s been like to work with EDM luminary Tiesto, his new compilation mix, and what his hectic touring schedule is like.
“For me [it’s] one of the biggest things to ever happen to me. I came in this DJ game because of Tiesto. When I was young, he was from Breda as well, the city where I’m born and raised. I never met him you know, he was an idol to me, world’s greatest DJ, number one … I met him like three years ago and we had such a connection and as friends [and] also on the music side. We have exactly the same taste in music so to work with each other, to play with each other, it’s so amazing. And it’s at the point we became really very good friends and shared some studio time together … We actually just finished a new track last week,” expressed Hardwell on working with Tiesto.
Hardwell’s brand new compilation album “Revealed, Vol. 3” is now out on iTunes, and includes 37 of the most rage-worthy tunes in EDM this year, including his original tracks and collaborations, as well as features producers like Tommy Trash, Wolfgang Gartner, Laidback Luke, Dada Life, and a long list of other electrifying talents.
The young 24 year old EDM prodigy revealed, “It’s a compilation of the tracks that came out in the last few months, and some new upcoming tracks as well, and a mix between Revealed and tracks that are my favorite tracks I’ve played in the last few months.”
