Another Dutchman is quickly earning props for his versatile sounds. Sandro Silva could easily beam with veteran status in the electronic music space. He's been making music since 2006 at the mere age of 16 when the "EDM movement" was quietly awaiting it's immense take over on Generation Y.
Now at 22, the Dutch star will release his “Let Go Tonight” EP on Ultra Music. The first track from the EP, “Libra" has already made its way into sets from the world’s biggest DJs. And how can you refuse it’s gorgeous instrumental set? Grab it here on Beatport.
The EP features music that changes direction from soft and hoisting to peak time pop and harder underground sounds. “Let Go Tonight” showcases Sandro’s traditional songwriting abilities and features Jack Miz’s vocals over a powerful hook and deft production. Another track, “Thug” is straight up scurvy and comes at you right from the beginning with its twisted electro beats that knock you right to the ground.
He's released his own music on Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records, his mentor Laidback Luke's Mixmash Records and Tiësto’s Musical Freedom to name a few. As a remixer, Sandro has re worked tracks for Pitbull, Ricky Blaze, Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Drop The Lime.
It's obvious Sandro delves into wide categories of dance music and it shows in his production work. He has linked multiple styles to form a sound that is his own. Ranging from harder edged instrumental singles to vocal friendly commercial leaning tracks, Sandro floats effortlessly between both worlds.
Listen to some snippets of the EP here and be sure to get it when it hits the digital storefront on Dec. 11!
