Since the news of EDC returning to New York, we also got some hints of another location. Well, Insomniac CEO, Pasquale Rotella has confirmed EDC Chicago is in fact happening. The newest addition to the EDC adventures is set to take place on Memorial Day Weekend at Chicagoland Speedway on May 24-26.
EDC Chicago also marks a new venture for the festival; Chicago will be the first installment of the festivals to allow guests to camp out over the three days. "As Insomniac continues to grow, our first priority is listening to our fans and they've made us feel confident that EDC has a home in Chicago," said Insomniac CEO, Pasquale Rotella. "This is the first EDC that will offer fans the opportunity to camp while enjoying the festival and I know that the Chicagoland Speedway is the ideal location. I'm really excited we've added Chicago to the EDC family of festivals."
Tickets go on sale January 23 at 12 p.m. Central Time. Three-day GA tickets will be priced at $175 to start and VIP tickets selling at $299 (plus service fees).
