Documentary Screening on Indie Singer, Res
Watch the journey of an independent singer as she rebuilds her career

Philadelphia singer, Res is making her way back into the music scene as a solo artist. She gained recognition in 2001, when she released her debut album How I Do on MCA Records and peaked at number one on The Billboard Dance Chart with hit single "They Say Vision." After parting ways with her label, Res is back and ready to rebuild her career as an indie artist. Currently, the singer has joined forces with longtime collaborater Talib Kweli on their hip-hop/electro project, Idle Warship.

Director, Steve Zegans saw something in Res which sparked him to create a documentary titled "Res: An Industry Diary" in which he follows the singer on her journey as an independant musician. With that said, on Tuesday, January 22, at 6:30 p.m. there will be a preview of the film at the Schomburg Center in Harlem which will also include a performance by Res as well as a Q&A discussion with Zegans.

The Schomburg Center is located at 515 Malcom X Blvd. Harlem, NY.
