With the recent explosion of electronic dance music in 2011, it's only proper that "our" generation be called "the beat generation" or better...Generation Wild. Why not, right? And with that in mind, prepare yourself because the Generation Wild Tour 2013 is coming our way. Kicking off January 31st, four extremely talented young DJs and producers will come together to bring music to the masses. Deniz Koyu, Danny Avila, dBerrie and Mikael Weermets will be joining forces as they bring their influences from all over the world together as one.
Deniz Koyu had an epic 2012 with a string of groundbreaking releases such as "Bong" heard in just about every top DJ's set as well as an impressive remix list. Deniz couldn't have chosen a better way to get 2013 started. He's got two huge releases in store "Halo," his much anticipated collaboration with Dirty South on his Phazing imprint as well as the follow-up to "Bong“ which will be called "Rage“ and will be available in February on Ingrosso’s Refune Records.
At the grand old age of 17, Danny Avila is making reigns over the dance music community and continues to prove he is a superstar talent. After the release of his first single "Breaking Your Fall" on Big Beat Records, 2013 will see him sky rocketing to collasal heights. Recently, Billboard included Danny on their "21 Under 21 To Watch For" list as well as MTV Clubland's "Artists To Watch For in 2013." In February, Danny will be releasing a new mix album on Ministry of Sound.
One of NYC's favorites, dBerrie is known for his distinctive deejaying and production style. His records have gained support from heavyweights including Fedde Le Grand, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, Sidney Samson, and Deniz Koyu and he's also had releases on Ultra Records. In late 2011, Mikael Weermets signed with record giant EMI and has been going strong since. He's got numerous remixes on the biggest dance labels like Tiësto’s Musical Freedom imprint, a dozen of massive collaborations and a pending debut album on Kontor Records.
Generation Wild is going to be something truly unique filled with an array of deejaying styles and signature sounds. Who knows maybe we'll even get some collabs going with this impressive lineup of producers. And if that isn't enough to get you amped up, this will; the whole experience will be documented by the most notorious nightlife photographer - KirillWasHere! Generation Wild will be like none other! The tour will be making a stop at Webster Hall in NYC on February 16 so get your tickets before they sell out here and check out the other tour dates below to see when it'll be stopping at a city near you!
