Identical twins and indie pioneers Tegan and Sara debuted their new single “Closer” off of their new album Heartthrob a few months ago, which you probably know because every music outlet has been cheering it on since – and for good reason.

Though the song has been out for a while, the official music video has just been released.  What better way to show off a dance track than by throwing a party where people smear make-up all over themselves and you sing karaoke to your own song? The album drops January 29 but you can stream it online until then, if you can’t wait (and who can?). If you’re a fan of older Tegan and Sara, you may want to brace yourself for the lack of acoustic-pop tracks that made these ladies famous to begin with. But with true grace and talent, Tegan and Sara proved that you can evolve as an artist and play with different sounds while still sticking to some original script. Though the new album sounds like a techno dance party for the most part, T&S have still crafted their lyrics to be just as relatable and heart wrenching as ever (check out ballad “I Was a Fool” for proof). Another flawless record, yet again proving that Tegan and Sara were made for the top.
