KhoMha Takes Some Time for Q&A
Colombian born DJ talks to us about what motivates him and touring with Markus Schulz

KhoMha has been at it for less than two years and he is already taking the EDM world by storm. From his current tour with Markus Schulz to his jawdropping performance at ASOT 600 in Den Bosch, he has received an overwhelmingly welcoming response. Born in Colombia, KhoMha first discovered his passion for electronic music when he was 14 years old. Now 21, he has gone from falling in love with these sounds to making his own. KhoMha was kind enough to take some time to answer some questions for us. Check out what he has to say below.

What was the first step you took to make yourself heard as a DJ?

I started playing in small places and opening for DJs at clubs in Medellin, Colombia. Then as my career began to grow I started to play in bigger venues and further afield.

On days you want to throw in the towel, what motivates you to push through it?

There is something that you can't leave and that motivates you as does the passion you have for the music. This is all I’ll ever need.

What has been your favorite part of working with Markus Schulz?

It's been an amazing experience, and I think that the best part of working with Markus is that he’s helped me enormously in growing as an artist and as a person. I’m still relatively young, so that type of support is invaluable.

What is your next move after the Scream Tour wraps up?

Well closer to the summer, I'll be in Europe playing at some festivals like Electronic Family. Before that I have an upcoming tour of Asia and Australia which I’m looking forward to enormously.

What is one of the most memorable performances you’ve had and why?

Well I think it’s a tie at the moment between ASOT 600 in Den Bosch and Transmission—The Spiritual Gateway in Prague. Those gigs mean a lot for me because I've been following these events since I started and I’ve always really wanted to play there. So it was like a dream come true!

If you had to pick one DJ to collaborate with, who would it be?

I’m sure it would be with Daft Punk. They are my biggest inspiration. I really can’t explain the degree to which I admire them.
