Today has been a huge day for Dim Mak Records, having released two of their most dynamic tracks to date. If you read our previous article about the label, you’d know they recently signed their first-ever hardstyle artist, Coone, and today released his debut single, “Times Gettin’ Hard.”
Now it’s time to set our focus on Tritonal and 7 Skies, who teamed up to produce an energy-inducing, electro-house track called “RESET” (see below). Not only is this their first collaboration, but it is also their first release on Dim Mak Records. Parts of the track make you feel like you’re in a videogame, while others are quite reminiscent of Nicky Romero’s “Toulouse.” We’d never expect an electro house banger like this from Tritonal, as the duo generally sticks to trance, but we’re excited to see more artists step away from thier comfort zone. Experimentation is good, and it’s even better when producers successfully blow us away with their newfound sound.
Tritonal and 7 Skies have been friends for years, and their track has been supported by the likes of Nicky Romero, Gareth Emery, Cazzette, Hardwell, W&W, and Ferry Corsten. It contains “quirky synths and infectious drops [that] keep the track’s energy at full throttle the entire ride.” “RESET” contains an intense buildup and a drop that makes you want to let loose and rage. You can purcahse the track on Beatport here.
