Steve Aoki and Dim Mak launch gritty new video series
Expect music-making, performances and a lot of partying in "Up All Night," a mini-documentary on the Dim Mak lifestyle and brand.

Dance music star and nightlife aficionado Steve Aoki and his record label/lifestyle empire, Dim Mak, have launched a gritty new web series documenting their activities.  Appropriately dubbed "Up All Night," the videos are shot DIY style and capture the lives of Dim Mak artists on and offstage while featuring exclusive and unreleased music.

The series kicks off with an inaugural 3-part Miami edition that was shot at this year's Winter Music Conference and Ultra Music Festival.  Viewers can expect cameos from artists including Skrillex, Afrojack, A-Trak, Aoki and countless others, as well as footage of exclusive parties, vacations, performances, and seemingly endless backstage drinking sessions.  Other episodes document excursions to this year's SXSW in Austin, TX for the official DIM MAK SXSW showcase, as well as a Spring Break special edition episode in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. In-your-face and shot with a shakey handheld camera, the clips are certainly hard-hitting and true to Dim Mak's fast-living, punk-influenced ethos.

Creators of the series hope that it will serve as a definitive voice within today’s electronic music community, documenting monumental moments and curating the future of dance music culture.  “My vision of Dim Mak has always had a futuristic outlook, and we’ve remained a force within the independent music community since day one” says Aoki, "Up All Night takes [all of this] and puts [it] on video for the world to see."  He adds that he hopes to use the web series as an opportunity to break new artists and introduce viewers to "future leaders of music."
