Verboten NYC Takes Over Labor Day Weekend
It's sex on the dance floor with Gui Boratto
Labor Day weekend is, of course, one of the best times of the year. Barbecues over a nice three-day weekend help us wind down the last bits of summer while the weather is still warm, and we can get our last fix of summer ales before those oh so delicious cinnamon-rimmed pumpkin beers take over. Amid all these celebrations come end of summer parties, and Verboten NYC is not only throwing some of the hottest parties in New York City right now, but they know how to kick it up a notch when the time is right.

Enter Gui Boratto, who is making his return to New York City this Sunday, September 01, 2013, by taking over the Highline Ballroom. Joined by Verboten favorite Brad Miller, who will be kicking the night off, and minimal chef Radio Slave to close it, this is not a party you're going to be happy about missing.  Fresh off his latest EP, Too Late, this Brazilian progressive house giant is guaranteed to bring some incredibly sexy beats to the dance floor.  Utilizing uncharacteristically organic tones, playful melodies juxtaposed with dark grooves, and occasionally even a live guitar, Gui's largely original sets can be described as smooth and colorful and, above all, unique. Did we also mention he tends to spin for upwards of four hours on a regular basis? Be sure to sleep in on Sunday because you're going to need your energy, as this event goes from 11pm to the deliciously odd hour of 6am. Labor Day party indeed!

Be sure to check out this fire mix from Gui Boratto to get a taste of what's to come. We hope to see you there!
