It's hard to believe that Cleveland rap legends Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have been around for 20 years, but that they have, and the group is still putting out great new music and performing with the same energy they had when they began their careers. All members were present, sans the recently departed member Layzie Bone, who announced his departure from the group in September. Bringing their legend to New York City's B.B. King's on Sunday night, the group turned back the clock for die-hard fans, and showed why they have been able to stay in the game for all these years.
On a night that paid tribute to legendary DJ Jam Master Jay for the 11th anniversary of his death, Bone Thugs, after a bit of a delay, came out and rocked NYC with an electrifying array of classic hits. In the spirit of tribute, the group paid homage to the fallen legends they have collaborated with, from 2Pac, to the Notorious B.I.G., to Eazy E and the nostalgic air was heavy in the crowded venue as the remaining four members performed their collaborative classics.
The night was a celebration, as fans were poured drinks from the stage, strange smoke filled the air, and cheers rang as fans celebrated the success and longevity of the pioneering hip-hop group.
