Mansion Miami welcomes the New Year with Deadmau5
Deadmau5 brings unhooked live performance to Miami on New Year's Day for his third year in a row.

If there's one name that has continued to turn heads throughout the electronic music scene, whether for better or worse, it's Deadmau5. He's become a household name throughout the years since his iconic Mau5 head penetrated the industry in the mid-2000s, headlining major festival lineups and selling out shows across the globe on a seamlessly consistent basis. Tallying in on his third year now for what seems to have become a tradition, Deadmau5 will return to Miami once again to break in the New Year with his unhooked live performance. This time, however, he will take to the stage at Mansion Miami where he has been adorning crowds with his inimitable sounds since his early days.

While his acute style has polarized fans both old and new, his sound continues to evolve to a new high water mark with each stride he takes with his career and never kneels to popular demand. His lack of concern for public opinion has fueled his ambitious drive, although we've witnessed several lapses in his efforts in the past, and has allowed for the maturation of his vast cannon of both released and unreleased material.

His latest work, WE ARE FRIENDS VOL.2, is the follow-up compilation to 2012's We Are Friends Vol.1 and is the first wind of material to be put out through his new label relationship with Astralwerks Records. The 11-track compilation features two new Deadmau5 tracks, "Your Ad Here" and "Suckfest9001," alongside works by Kairo Kingdom, Heat Maxwell, James Njie, BSOD (Zimmerman's side-project with friend Steve Duda), and up-and-coming talent Aron H.

Tickets for Deadmau5 unhooked at Mansion on January 1st are still available here. Can you think of a better way to start the New Year?
