For those who don't keep up with him via social media, Deadmau5 took serious offense to a post-New Year's show he was booked for in South Beach, Florida because the show was catered to the V.I.P. table and bottle service crowd of trust fund kids while all of his dedicated fans were shunned to the back of the venue. In true Deadmau5 form, Joel voiced his complaints and it just so happens that Club Space in Miami was listening.
After reaching out to him in an open letter that explained the club's desire to give Deadmau5 the opportunity to provide his fans with the performance they deserved free of charge, and $25,000 towards travel and accommodations for the producer, Deadmau5 took to twitter in response saying:
@clubspacemiami 25k for a jet? no need! just hook me up with a commercial flight sheesh. when? im there.— deadmau5 (@deadmau5) January 8, 2014
Now, after ironing out all the details, Deadmau5 is returning to Miami on February 15th for a free show at Ice Palace. Tickets for the event will go on sale January 28th at 2 P.M. EST online via Wantickets.com, with a $1 processing fee that will be donated to the Miami Children's Hospital. This show is guaranteed to sell out it's 4,000 person capacity quickly so get your computers and credit cards ready if you want a chance to get one, and given the way Deadmau5 feels about his fans, you can bet that this free show will be one of his best.
