Dirtybird announces Miami BBQ and compilation
The label will take over Cafeina Wynwood on March 27.

Thirteen years after the Dirtybird founding fathers birthed their bass-fueled, booty-bumpin’ BBQs, the label's tradition is still going strong and will return to Miami for their annual BBQ party on March 27 at Cafeina Wynwood.

Breaking the mold of commonplace and, at-times, repetitive Miami Music week events, Dirtybird BBQs are notorious for hosting unconventional acts such as 2012’s Tribe Called Quest and last year’s De La Soul. Although 2014’s headliner has yet to be announced, we can expect nothing less than a stellar booking from the BBQ impresario Claude VonStroke.

Miami’s party is the first in a series of events which will span North America and Europe before fittingly concluding in the BBQ’s birthplace of San Francisco. Tickets to the Miami show are available here

In anticipation of the BBQ, the Dirtybird squad will release a compilation from the label’s heaviest hitters on Feb. 25. Featuring tunes from Justin Martin, Catz n’ Dogz and Shiba San, the compilation perfectly encapsulates Dirtybird’s no-frills vibe of spine-shaking bass, filthy g-house and funky rhythm.
