Breaking up is hard to do, harder still when you've been with that person for ten years. After the split, most people want nothing to do with their exes, usually dreading accidentally running into them and having to strike up awkward conversation. So when we heard that drummer Dani Buncher and singer-keyboardist Scott Simons, better know as TeamMate, used to date but now make such sweet, sweet music together, we just had to know their secret. While the band was in New York City for their show at the famous Arlene's Grocery last week, TeamMate took some time to stop by and talk to us about themselves, their music, and our mutual obsession with OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder.

Red Bull Guest House at the Gale Hotel
Reporting by Lizzie Renck
In just its second year, Red Bull Guest House already had fans lined up down the street outside of the Gale Hotel. Showcasing eight record labels and their artists from 2-8pm over four consecutive days, the Red Bull saw takeovers from Hot Creations, Minus Records, OWLSA, PMR vs. LuckyMe, Mad Decent, Solomun+1 and A Club Called Rhonda. The Guest House also featured Traktor Cookery School taking place each day around lunchtime, with daily menus curated and prepared by the artists themselves, such as Nicole Moudaber and DJ Craze.
This past Friday, Pete Tong premiered a brand new single on his BBC Radio 1 show from Adrian Lux , titled "Sooner or Later.” You can now listen to the radio edit of the single on Soundcloud and Spotify! The track goes really smooth but yet has a lot of energy packed inside of its deep house percussion and synths. Along with vocals from Kaelyn Behr "Sooner or Later" is such a beautiful track that can be played in just about any setting.
Recently, more and more beverage companies have jumped on the bandwagon, sponsoring electronic music acts and events. The iconic Dutch beer brand Heineken, however, has been ahead of the curve for years. The official malt beverage sponsor of Ultra Music Festival celebrated its seventh year of partnering with the downtown Miami event last weekend by expanding its on-site initiatives to include stage viewing platforms and a social media contest.
Bronx native, Fred the Godson aka Fat Boy Fresh, released his version of the "Draft Day" freestyle, only a few days after Drake debuted with the original. The single samples Lauryn Hill's "That Thing (Doo Wop)" from Hill's 1998 debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Given that hip-hop is a naturally competitive platform that is influenced by swollen egos, it is more than likely that Godson will not be the first or last emcee to challenge Drizzy’s verse. Let the onslaught of "Draft Day" freestyles begin! Tune into the audio below!
