Just when we thought things might be cooling down after an intense two weekends of Ultra Music Festival, some of our favorite DJs hit the ground running with tours and some are even dropping new tracks. Those lucky enough to attend this year’s festival may have caught a glimpse of one of the soon-to-be most epic collaborations.
Imagine this: Laidback Luke and Hardwell, teaming up together to drop one of the dirtiest tracks seen of these two DJs. ‘Dynamo’ is full of heart throbbing bass, vibrant synth riffs, and percussion that is sure to leave us wanting more. The preview of the track has received a phenomenal response, no surprise, in the weeks it has been released. Just a few days ago however, Hardwell released an exclusive preview which gives us more insight into how big this track is going to be. I wouldn’t be shocked if ‘Dynamo’ turns out to be this summer’s hottest mix. If the collaboration is a sign of what’s to come, we all better brace ourselves for the havoc about to be unleashed.
The new residency dubbed 'USED + ABUSED' kicks off on June 6 and will run every Thursday until the end of September. Loco Dice has been one of electronic music’s leading curators in techno for over a decade and stated in a press release, "This year is the 15th anniversary of me playing on the island. The daytime series will transform Ushuaïa Ibiza into a utopian environment and will be immersed with the full Loco Dice treatment. Each week will feature a complete production overhaul with the venue being completely transformed to bring back that special terrace vibe that only Ibiza does so well. We've been waiting for another big room return from New York based DJ/Producer, Stereoshock. His newest production strikes pure emotion on a record the young producer has said he's been wanting to remix for a while now. His latest production work on "Trembling Hands" gives new life to the hugely successful single from Temper Trap. "I got the idea for this remix walking alone through the city physically, and mentally. I tried to recreate the emotion and produced this for the listener to understand the story behind the protagonist of the song," he said on his inspiration behind the emotional melody.

In a little over 12 months, Danny Avila has established himself as one of the biggest contenders in dance music’s prolific pool of next generation talent. The 18-year-old has releases on Big Beat and Interscope and can now add Ministry Of Sound to that list. Just released on April 7, Ministry Of Sound Presents: Danny Avila Live, a 24-track compilation that features the biggest hits currently blaring through Avila’s sets.
“For me, (this mix) is really, really special,” said Avila, currently on tour in the States. “Ministry of Sound is one of the biggest brands in dance music history and I’ve always loved it. Not only because of the label, but also the club and all the people involved with it. It’s such an honour for me that Ministry asked me to do this compilation.”
Can you tell us about some of the parties/venues that shaped you as an artist and a performer?
Diego Camejo: The first venue I started DJing at consistently was Mokai. Being the resident here has taught me so much. Because it is a small boutique club, it is naturally a very intimate setting. It is a venue where people are not necessarily going to focus on the DJs performance; they’re their to have a good time, which makes it more difficult as a DJ to craft a set that gets people’s attention.

The past year has seen trance mainstays Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten sneakily plot what could be the collaboration of the century. What started as a laugh at a barbecue in Ibiza has grown into an epic reality and an unstoppable force, culminating in the duo's global debut under the moniker New World Punx this past Saturday at Madison Square Garden.
A modern day trance dream team, Schulz and Corsten draw elements from their own individual styles and blend them together with a fusion of energy and an unrivaled stage presence. Picking up momentum in venues and studios around the world, New World Punx arrived in New York eager to show the world what they were all about; and after a ground breaking performance at the World's Most Famous Arena, the 13,500 in attendance—and millions tuned in around the world—would be hard pressed to deny the duo's newfound magnitude.
