Curls and waves are sexier than ever this year! Not only do they give your hair the volume it craves, they also frame the face perfectly.
It’s common to believe that curling your hair can take hours. It definitely can. But does it have to? Absolutely not. It all depends on the size of your curling iron and what kind of curls you're looking for. Whether you're going for a full head of spirals, slightly flowing waves, volume infused-looking hair, or a quick fix to flat hair, your curling iron can make a world of a difference in just minutes! Anywhere from a 1” to 2” curling iron will work depending on the length and thickness of your hair.
1. Section your head into two sections—top half and bottom half. From here you can section these halves into two or three smaller sections. Mini clips are perfect for sectioning since they keep the sections parted instead of tying or pulling out hair ties after you curl each piece.
2. Start from the end of each section, and clip the end into the barrel of the curling iron. Wrap each section until you reach the clip, and hold for 10-15 seconds.
3. Do this for every section. Using larger sections will create more natural-looking wavy hair. Once you take out your clips, you’ll have a head full of volume and curls!
From here, you'll have soft, bouncy curls! You can style your hair by pinning up one side with a bobby pin, or by putting your hair in a ponytail. Or, you can simply let it be loose- think Taylor Swift. Whatever you decide to do, you’ll have the sexy volume that looks effortless, and the best part? It really was.
