“The City” reality television star Whitney Port is doing something different with her career. The Whitney Eve fashion designer teamed up with Claire’s, a teen accessories store, to pass along fashion tips to prom-bound high schoolers, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
Recently announced, teens that visit clairespromstyle.com can take a 10-question quiz which discovers their personal style, and can share their results on Twitter and Facebook. They can then watch videos of Port offering tricks and giving advice that relate to their specific style that they have chosen from the results of the quiz.
By taking Claire’s website to the next level and creating an interactive environment, it will create traffic to their website and even more to their stores. Since Port isn’t exactly a great example of the retailer’s target demographic, it could create the feeling of getting advice from a “mature expert.”
