It has been announced that Beyoncé has chosen the astonishing shoe designer Stuart Weitzman to partner up with on creating her footwear for her upcoming world tour "The Mrs. Carter Show."
The styles range from jeweled flats, stiletto pumps with Swarovski crystal embellishments, to lace up, and military-inspired shoe silhouettes while the boots will range from booties to thigh-highs. The shoe label revealed two watercolor sketched of Beyonce's shoe wardrobe for the international tour. The first sketch is of a neutral strap across the front of a eggplant-colored shoe covered in blue rhinestones. The second sketch was a black healed military bootie with laces and gold eyelets.
"Creating footwear for Beyoncé’s shows has been one of my most inspiring projects. She and her entire team know exactly what they need, always focusing on the fashion and the function of the styles that will be worn,” said Weitzman. Stuart Weitzman has designed over 50 pairs of shoes for Bey and has also designed the shoes worn by the backup dancers as well.
The designer also added that, "what Beyoncé specifically pays attention to is being able to wear the shoes without noticing they're on her feet, She doesn't want her feet to burn, so we can't have too thin of a sole, but she asks for the build-up inside the shoe so it doesn't look too heavy. The public doesn't seem to think about that, but Beyoncé does."
