George Kotsiopoulos Talks Spring Trends
High style, low price and a $500 contest!

Recently, Joonbug had the opportunity to take part in Kmart’s new fashion Remix Challenge hosted by the uber-talented stylist and fashion guru George Kotsiopoulos. Known for his savvy expertise on E! Network’s Fashion Police and experience as a well-known celeb stylist—it was a very cool to receive style advice directly from George!

With the nicer temps finally here in Manhattan it's most definitely time to rock short-shorts, maxi-dresses, gladiator sandals, cross-body bags, and cool sunglasses. Being able to wear the latest trends and do so on a budget is most definitely a fashionista's best friend. Kmart has recently launched some pretty amazing looks for summer from Sofia Vergara, Bongo, Attention and Route 66. George was on-hand to style looks with the women of Manhattan and show us that it doesn't take a ton of money to look like a true super-style diva! Style has no price tag and Joonbug loves that notion!

He was there to also spread the word regarding Kmart's fab new style contest. To enter, simply create different looks from now through July 15th and the winner of the fashion challenge recieves a $500 gift card! For details, click here. It's really easy to enter by uploading your photo to Instagram or Twitter with the #moneycantbuystyle hash tag.

We had the opportunity to ask George a few questions about style essentials and looks for the summer. Here's what he had to say.

There are a lot of spring trends here in the room. How do you feel about these dark denim shorts from Attention?

Shorts are a great summer style element and these are flattering. By switching out different accessories (George pointed to an accessory table with tons of colorful option) you can easily change the feel of your look -- dress it up or down.

What's your take on maxi-dresses? How can the women of NYC remix that trend?

It's easy! Come over here and take a great utility chambray shirt such as this style from Jacqueline Smith. You can wear this over a maxi-dress and simply knot it in the front. Add a gladiator sandal and you're set. Really great!

The last time we spoke, you mentioned that for women adding a belt is an important accessory. I wanted to let you know, that the women of NYC love your style advice.

Why, thank you. I love helping people look their best. Kmart is great because you can look really stylish for a fair price! The styles and quality this season are really exciting.
