Hard wooden floors, 60’s pastel dropped waists, and simple gold jewelry make up the interior of this chic, downtown Brooklyn boutique. Meg’s shop has a certain vintage feel to it that compliments its up and coming Boerum Hill neighborhood. Meghan Kinney is the head designer behind the clothing label. Kinney graduated from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology where she mastered the craft of pattern making and fashion design. Her collection is a reflection of all the knowledge she’s learned. Inspired by the lines of dance, her dresses are always clean, versatile and tailored to highlight women’s curves. The clothes are universally flattering; each piece carrying its own sense of unique charm. Femininity and sensuality are at the center of Kinney’s designs, and she’s gathered quite a following throughout North America. Let’s have a look at some of the pieces we’re lusting over this summer!
Taking a cue from 60’s fashion icon, Twiggy, the Gathered Back Dress is a clean cut and high necked piece. A simple, straight silhouette with convenient side pockets, and a flowery enamel button clasp in the back (our favorite little detail). Revive the past and look sweet for the summer in pastel pink or blue.
Stay mellow and dare to wear this long, yellow silhouette. The Cotton Bow Gown is a must have for any daytime brunch this season.
Our editors are huge fans of wrap dresses like this Aqua Flared Sleeve Wrap. The A-line skirt makes it universally flattering for all women.
Pants are always a hard thing to pull off while still managing to stay cool during summer months. These well-tailored, High Waisted Pleat Pants will ease your troubles a bit. Pair it with a Side Cowl Top for effortless style.
