To welcome in the fall fashion season, Milly has decided to launch their first ever ad campaign. Although we have generally thought of Milly as a mod and somewhat retro line, the ad presents an edgier makeover, giving a futuristic new meaning to the everyday "Milly-girl."
After the line's successfull collaboration with Banana Republic, along with the opening of it's major flagship store in NYC, this hot new campaign couldn't come at a better time. The campaign aspires to embody a unique and sophisticated European flair, along with the downtown vibe of New York City.
The brand's creative director, Michelle Smiths stated about the images, "Although I consider myself a die-hard New Yorker, I began my design career in Paris, training for several years at legendary fashion houses such as Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior Haute Couture. Therefore, Milly has always had an element of New York-meets-Paris."
The fashion director goes on to explain the line's new makeover saying, "They include dresses, skirts and pullovers in luminous colors and holographic finishes, which capture the breadth and the modern evolution of my collection."
