Since leaving Boardwalk Empire, Michael Pitt has been establishing his career in modeling. Particularly, high end menswear, appearing in Prada ads and, most recently, with french actress Lea Seydoux for rag & bone. Guided by a strong british tailoring influence, rag & bone's philosophy is a classic yet modern everyday look. Each piece (whether it be men's or women's) is framed by classic construction and high quality fabric for the perfect fit, with a handmade feel. They're recent launch ads for Fall/Winter 2013 went over well with fashion audiences everywhere, and Pitt/Seydoux were at the forefront of the campaign. “For us, it’s all about using individuals we view as iconic characters and Léa and Michael absolutely represent the spirit of the brand. They’re both genuine, cool people,” explains Marcus Wainwright, one half of the Rag & Bone team. “The premise was simply them in rag & bone doing whatever came naturally.”
What came naturally was an artistic and highly unique photoshoot. Pitt was shot in Soho by the legendary Glen Luchford and dressed in a tailored tweed suit while destroying his own guitar--crowds looked on loving every minute of it. Such a positive experience came out of Pitt fronting rag & bone's first ever men's campaign. The actor has always had an interesting sense of style, having worn many vintage suits from the 1920's on the set of Boardwalk Empire. His past modeling work for high end brands along with his creative soul makes us dub him the new king of style.
