Forbes Releases 2013's Highest Paid Models
The results may surprise you...

Forbes recently released a list of 2013’s highest paid supermodels. Gisele Bündchen topped the list for the 7th year in a row with annual earnings of $42 million (down $3 million from last year). Miranda Kerr, a Victoria’s Secret angel like Bündchen, came in second with just over $7 million. Two other Victoria’s Secret ladies made the cut: Adriana Lima made $6 million and Candice Swanepoel racked in $3.3 million. Other notable names included the ever-present Kate Moss ($5.7 million), China’s first major supermodel Liu Wen ($4.3 million), and Estee Lauder’s first Latina ambassador Joan Smalls ($3.5 million).

However, it seems as though some of fashion’s biggest names are missing from the list. Forbes states, “Our earnings estimates are based on editorial shoots, independent licensing ventures, spokesperson gigs and contracts from beauty and fashion companies from June 2012 to June 2013.” If this is the case, where is Cara Delevingne? This British beauty seemed to be the on the cover of every magazine this year. After being named “Model of the Year” by Vogue,  the muse for the upcoming Burberry collection, and having a role in the film adaption of Anna Karenina, it’s hard to believe that she didn’t earn a little more dough them some of her less-famous counter-parts. Also missing from the list are Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks, who’s entrepreneurial natures, television shows, and multiple endorsement deals are surely worth more than a few million. Georgia May Jagger, Karli Kloss and Milla Jovovich are household names at this point, yet they didn’t seem to make the cut. Forbes is renowned for correctly reporting other people’s income--so all we can say is, well, we're quite surprised!
