Fall Coats
No need to fear the cold weather with these stylish numbers!

With the brisk chill in the air, it’s official--summer is over. That said, we're huge fans of autumn. Halloween, the return of Starbuck’s Pumpkin Spice Latte--what’s not to love about the season? Additionally, an array of stylish coats and jackets are available this season to keep you warm and fabulous. Here are a few styles that have won over our allegiance!

Oversized

Cozy is one way to describe this particular style of coat. If you’re not a fan of snug clothing than an oversized coat is best for you. Not to mention, it’s completely stylish and totally on trend. Stella McCartney had the right idea when she dressed her models in oversized, woolen coats for her fall 2013 RTW collection. Other designers who are jumping on the stylish band wagon are Thakoon and Isabel Marant who also featured the look in their fall collections this year. The look is extremely sleek and breeches the borders of minimalist and masculine. Definitely one of the top contenders for fall 2013

Pink

Seen on the A/W runways of Celine, Valentino, and Alice + Olivia; it would appear as if this style is gaining loads of popularity. It’s a refreshing take on a such a classical color since we’re so used to seeing shades of black and grey during fall and winter. It is a mixture of sweet and innocent which not only looks totally adorable on all who wear it but excruciatingly chic as well

Toggle

This is by far one of our favorites this season. The style can range anywhere from edgy to preppy and is universally beloved. For their fall 2013 collection, Burberry showcased a style similar to their iconic trench, which had the brands signature plaid detailing on the interior. In my opinion the style is totally trendy and pretty much goes with any ensemble in your closet. Whether you’re attending an event or simply keeping it casual on a weekend, the toggle coat definitely has you covered for those chilly fall nights (pun intended)!

Trench

Thanks to Audrey Hepburn, this iconic classic will always remain on the top of the fashion food chain. Every individual, fashion obsessed or not, should acquire this precise style of jacket in their wardrobe. It is a fashion staple which stands the test of time and is luckily on the list for this season’s top trends. Choose to be edgy and wear a trench entirely crafted from leather, (another huge trend this season) or keep it low-key and simply stay classy which a style in a shade of nude or navy. However you choose to showcase the look, you can bet yourself that you’ll already be ahead of the crowd just by donning the style.

Parka

Universally flattering, the parka is such an essential autumn piece which keeps you stylish and warm all throughout winter as well. Designers such as Phillip Lim and Prabal Gurung have already jumped ahead and featured the trend into their fall 2013 collections in vast shades of green. The style has been around for quite some time, but it’s the way certain individuals are wearing it (90’s grunge inspired) that is giving the look a fresh and new vibe. Honestly, any color will do but to take your look to another level, search for colors in navy or green to give your look that extra oomph reminiscent to the 90’s grunge movement.

Bomber

Last, but certainly not any less stylish,  is the bomber jacket. Thanks to brands such as DKNY, Alexander Wang, and Phillip Lim; this individual style has got the entire fashion world buzzing with praise. The entire look is a chic combination of sporty and urban flair. With a vast array of style and colors, this trend is one of the most refreshing takes on a huge classic. Perfect with a printed dress and ankle booties or skinny jeans and a plain tee. There you have it! Fall is not a season to be feared. It is a chance to showcase some of the season’s hottest trends while having fun and making them your own. So what are you waiting for?
