Story by Maggie Trzcinska
If you’re a vintage junkie and need a weekly dose of thrifty finds, then make your way to Eye Candy, by Ron Caldwell. Previously located on Lafayette St, Eye Candy has moved to 225 West 23rd street (between 7th and 8th ave). This vintage eutopia offers a wide variety of woman's accessories and clothing, and all vintage finds are scoped out by Mr. Caldwell’s trained eye. Eye Candy has been described as a “feast for the eyes” and please believe it, believe it please, it lives up to its name.
Since 1996, Eye Candy has been a haven for fashion stylists and photographers. No better way to prep, style and add a vintage touch to a photo shoot than by using a one of a kind vintage pieces. And we can't forget to mention how many top models and high profile celebrities have been spotted here! Not only that, but merchandise from Eye Candy has been featured in major publications, run way shows, and seen on both the television and movie screen. This mighty little boutique reigns in the kingdom of vintage fashion, and one can only thank the Vintage Lords for providing us with such a store.
The store is open daily from 12-8pm. And although there are limited online items available, you can shop online from the comfort of your home, or sneak a peak at work here. Happy shopping!
