Follow our guide below to know exactly what you should wear to our parties being held nationwide! Start the new year off in style.

Party #1: BLACK TIE OPTIONAL

Joonbug is hosting some of the swankiest ballroom events in many cities. Such parties include the Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia, Timeless New Year's Eve at the Colonnade in Boston, as well as Cipriani Capitale, Gotham Hall, and Gustavinos in NYC.

GIRLS

All right ladies, Black tie events are all about class, sexy silhouettes, and high fashion sparkle. Don't be afraid of too much bling. A Long fitted strapless gown paired with eccentric jewelry will definitely stand out in a crowd.

Have fun with bright colors, and long slits. If you're headed out in cold weather, finish the look with a faux fur coat and long silk gloves. You can wear fun warm weather alternatives like short poof dresses and light weight sheath gowns. A little leg goes a long way.

GUYS

Guys, 007 will have nothing on you. The black tie may be optional, but the suit definitely isn't. A classic penguin suit always is a hit.

Mix it up with, printed bow ties, shiny oxford loafers and signature cuff links. If ties seem stifling, try other alternatives like printed scarves and pocket squares

Party #2: CASUAL & TRENDY

Sport the trendy look at parties and events at these NYC hot spots Avenue, the Gansevoort, Finale, Stage 48, Greenhouse & SL, snowbirds can enjoy Mondrian and W Hotel in Miami, Bootsy Bellows in LA, and Philly's very own G Lounge , Lit UltraBar. If you're in Boston, head over to the tasty Gem Restaurant and Lounge, and those in Chicago should head to Estate Ultra Bar.

GIRLS

This look is all about personal style and setting yourself a part with today's hottest trends.

Glamour meets punk by pairing a classic ruby red dress with a leather jacket and high heels. Go texture crazy by layering statement fabrics like tweed and fur with silk and lace. Quirky accessories like fur clutches will perfect the look.

GUYS

Ok guys, casual for you means bring your A-game. It's your chance to showcase your personal style and what you like about fashion with just a glance. Keep it trendy by focusing on color and print.

You can dress up or dress down, but stay away from being too matchy-matchy. Layer top pieces with contrasted colors while pairing simple trousers with footwear that stands out. For the more subdued gentleman, a little bit goes a long way, and color will do the trick!

Party #3: DO IT YOUR WAY

End the year your way. Joonbug has teamed up with Barcrawls.com again to bring you the best bar hops in your city. The crawl stars at 5pm and doesen't stop till 2014! Or have family fun in casual style at AMC, Dave & Busters (in NYC and Chicago), Ripley's Believe it or Not and more!

GIRLS

Ok, not everyone's into the bling and glamour, and that's fine because fashion transcends all genres. If you plan on keeping it simple this new year, take it to a bar or lounge. Ladies don't make it about the outfit,  make it about the accessories.

Sport a long white button-down with overalls and tri-metal jewelry (gold, silver, and rose). Use print and patterns to stand out. Keep it sporty and wear some of your favorite pieces from the year. Dress up these looks with bold hair and make-up, as well as funky footwear.

GUYS

"Who are you wearing?", is the last thing a guys gonna hear at the bar on New Year's Eve. So do you, but make it personal. Dress up your usual jeans and t-shirt with a fitted blazer.

Trade in some worn jeans for a casual trouser and classic oxfords. After all it is a party, and girls dig a guy whose at least a little put together. Most of all, be comfortable, if your lucky it'll be a long night!
